We've all heard of DeVry University. In fact, I think I've possibly seen more commercials for DeVry than anything ever advertised on TV.

So we know they want you to go there. They're established, they're legitimate, and they're accessible. But is DeVry the right school for you ? Let's find out.

The first and most obvious point to make about this school is that it's not just online. Like many other schools featured on this site, this school has plenty of campuses all across the country, plus a robust online component. In this way, DeVry is most similar to schools like the University of Phoenix and Strayer University .

In many ways this is great for the prospective students. At DeVry you can mix and match online and real-world education. If you sign up for the classroom experience, but find out you don't have the time to make it to class, then you can switch to online. And vice versa. There are 90 physical locations scattered across the country, so it's likely there's one near you.

The one potential drawback is that because DeVry is such a big school, many students feel like they could get lost in the mix. There are thousands and thousands of students, many of which only exist online.

On the other hand, DeVry's size can also benefit you. Employers know that this is a real, bonafide online college, and with a degree from DeVry University no one will second guess the value of your diploma.

Ultimately, of course, the decision is up to you. Is a big school right for you, or are you better suited for a smaller, more intimate institution?
